Our interns joined the Visit to Research Centres under InnoHK at Hong Kong Science Park on 30 July 2022 as part of the Summer Internship Program’s weekend activities. InnoHK introduced the overview of InnoHK Clusters at the beginning of the event. InnoHK aims to develop Hong Kong as the hub for global research collaboration. This involves the establishment of world-class research clusters at the Hong Kong Science Park with research laboratories set up by world-renowned universities and research institutes to conduct collaborative researches.
Followed by the research centre visits, all participants got a chance to visit three centres under Health@InnoHK, which focus on all types of healthcare-related technologies development, including Centre for Immunology & Infection (C2i) by The University of Hong Kong (HKUMed) and Institut Pasteur, Hong Kong Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (HKCeND) by The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Research Collaborator: Stanford University and University College London, and Centre for Novostics by The Chinese University of Hong Kong, UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. The interns learnt about the developments and research projects of these centres.
